The SELR is a wonderful organization that does a wonderous thing... They come to the rescue of camalids
in need. I wanted to be a part of that so I hand process llama fiber into usable yarn... ALL proceeds from the sale of yarn
made from rescued llamas goes strait to the orginization to help rescue others. The only bit that doesn't go to the SELR is
the postage and that will be an exact charge that will depend on where you are and the weight of the package.
I am only spinning the softest and nicest of the llama fiber into yarn and as I finish spinning and plying
each fleece, I will be taking a photo of the yarn as well as the animal that it came from.... along with his or her story
of being saved in their time of need.
I have a total of 8 oz of llama roving 30$ and that includes postage. This is some very nice stuff.
The dark fawn is from tuppence, a miniature llama and the black/grey is from Grace... both rescued llamas and all but postage
will be a donation to the SELR.
Like any natural fiber such
as wool, alpaca or angora, hand wash and lay flat to dry.
